First Post

Dear Internet Populace,
The purpose of this blog is for all my lovely friends and family to be able to hear about everything that will be going on in my life next semester as I study abroad in Montevideo, Uruguay. I wasn't planning on actually creating this until late this summer before I leave, but Lauren and I got a little overexcited and decided to go ahead and get an early start. Not to mention there are several things that I will need to keep track of so that I won't forget them when the time comes to start packing. (Yes, I know I am thinking waaaayyy ahead here.) So until the time comes that I will be bidding you all farewell for an entire semester, this will serve as a "Hey! Don't forget these items or you'll be screwed!" list.

PS. Don't get too used to the formality of this particular first blog. It won't last - I can pretty much guarantee it.
oh and PPS. I'll probably keep the layout pretty simple - I'm hoping I'll be able to put up pictures and such to spice it up a bit when the time comes.

THE LIST

1. contact lenses!
2. tampons. (I realize that this is an unfortunate thing to think of so early on in the list, because now it's going to be up here for the next several months. However, I read that this is a pretty necessary item to bring, so onto the list it goes. There will be no forgetting of the tampons!)
